Liang Zhang

Liang Zhang is a Ph.D. student in the Networking Research Lab (NETLAB), at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) under the supervision of Professor Basem Shihada. Liang received a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and a bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology, Beijing (USTB), China. Thesis title: Machine learning for next generation IoT Systems. In progress since Sept. 2018. Research Interests Liang's research interests include IoT, UAV, reinforcement learning

Basem Shihada

Professor Shihada research philosophy is to bridge the gap between theory and practice in a working system. Having intensively worked in computer networks from both theoretical and systems aspects, Shihada has acquired both a solid mathematical background and an acute sense of applying these results to build practical systems.
